Sacred geometry is how the cosmic life of the heavens is expressed on earth through hidden codes and divine proportions. This reflects the principle 'As above, so below'. A well-known example of bringing heaven to earth is the layout of the Giza pyramids in Egypt mirroring the stars. Robert Bauval re-discovered how the placement of the three pyramids reflects the pattern of the stars in Orion's Belt. The constellation of Orion was special for the Ancient Egyptians as they associated it with Osiris, the God-King.

In Revelation the two main characters - Jake and Mira - plot the position of sacred sites and decipher the signs and symbols of sacred geometry, along with other mystical disciplines, to lead them on their quest to find an ancient relic.

Through the arrangement of sacred sites, the divine qualities of certain shapes and the position of the planets at particular moments in time they find clues for their journey.

As well as being constructed as a group, sacred sites were sometimes located at precise points to form geometric shapes. In Revelation Jake and Mira discover that the sites on Patmos form a pentagram. The fifth point, or apex, of the pentagram represents the fifth element, ether or heaven.

The idea that certain geometric structures act as channels for spiritual energy is now becoming understood again and these are available for meditation and spiritual development . This belief is supported by evidence of unusual energy currents, mostly from dowsers, flowing between and at sacred sites. In Revelation a hexagram on the floor of the chapel, representing divine union between male and female, spirit and body, forms the backdrop to the sacred sex scene.

Down through the ages sacred geometry has been incorporated into the design of buildings intended for worship. This is partly for aesthetic reasons but also to enhance the energies and create a resonance suitable for prayer, giving a hidden foundation to the external form.

One of the earliest written records of sacred geometry is an ancient Hindu manuscript giving detailed geometric instructions on how to lay out the site of a temple. Pentagonal and hexagonal designs can be found in the layout of Stonehenge's concentric rings. Precise mathematical codes and geometrical relationships are integral to the design of the Great Pyramid.

Sacred geometry is found in nature from the spiral pattern of a shell, the perfect symmetry of snow crystals to the proportions of the human body.

This principle of interconnectedness and unity provides us with a reminder of our relationship to the whole, the sacred foundation of all creation.
