Born 1941 in Cheshire, England, Heathcote Williams is an actor, writer and director. He wrote the first film he starred in, Malatesta (1970), and followed that with The Tempest, Wish You Were Here, Stormy Monday, Little Dorrit and Slipstream. Recent credits include Orlando, In the Cold Light of Day, The Browning Version, The Steal, Blue Juice, Looking for Richard, The Tango Lesson, The IMAX Nutcracker, Cousin Bette, The Legend of 1900, Alegria and Miss Julie. Notable television appearances include The Odyssey, Alice in Wonderland and 'The One with Ross' Wedding' episode of the popular American sit-com Friends. Williams also wrote The Local Stigmatic and directed Wet Dreams in 1974. |
