DEREK JACOBI - THE LIBRARIAN



Born in 1938, Derek Jacobi is one of Britain's most popular and internationally renowned actors. He made his film debut in 1965 with Othello and followed that with a diverse range of film roles accenting his incredible acting range in Interlude, Three Sisters, The Day of the Jackal and The Odessa File - the latter two produced by Romulus Films. Other credits include The Medusa Touch, Little Dorrit, Dead Again, Looking for Richard, Hamlet, Up at the Villa, Love is the Devil and Gladiator. On television, Jacobi has appeared in The Pallisers, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Inside the Third Reich, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Storyteller, Circle of Deceit, Cadfael and Jason and the Argonauts. The indelible impression he made in the title role of the 1976 miniseries I, Claudius remains one of Jacobi's greatest and most popular achievements.
